Une femme de ménage travaillant dans une major de l'industrie du disque se fait virer. Désespérée, elle se suicide. Chris, son fils assistant de laboratoire, tente de la ressusciter, mais l'expérience tourne au drame. Blessé gravement au bras droit, il se réfugie alors chez Jim Lalien, un ami dealer, où il se drogue pour atténuer la douleur. Dans un moment de folie, il se greffe un aspirateur à l'avant-bras et se transforme en un justicier vengeur : le Vacuum Killer. Il est maintenant prêt à entamer un grand nettoyage de la société !

After losing his wife, a young man unable to put up with the pain, sinks into schizophrenia. As of this moment, the world, now seen through the filter of his mental condition, changes and becomes a frightening maze. So much so that at a time he collapses in a shopping street of Brussels, falling victim to a heart attack.

A building contractor and his spouse are driven apart by financial worries. Tony is an energetic personality well on in his 30s, presuming upon having everything under control. He's married to Nora, and they have two kids. Tony frequents tough assertiveness training sessions, owing to which he boosts up his self-confidence and considers himself to be the never-failing businessman and the perfect husband. As a result of his excessive investments and his haughty attitude, his company gets under a heavy cloud. When bankruptcy has become inevitable, his problems also affect family life. He starts taking his problems out on his wife who seems to be able to cope with the new situation more easily. She makes him see how vulnerable he really is.

The feature-length documentary "Forgotten Scares" goes back to the birth of Flemish horror in the '70s and shines a bright light on the future of horror in Belgium. The viewer gets a chance to discover long forgotten - and even unfinished - genre gems and learn in-depth info about underrated 'splatter and gore'-fests, post-apocalyptic movies, slasher-films, nazisploitation, women-in-prison and other fantastical Flemish genre benders through the eyes of the directors, producers, composers, principal actors and genre experts. "Forgotten Scares" is illustrated by rare behind the scene footage, classic film scenes, production stills, promotional art and even never before seen videos out of the vaults of the filmmakers.
