#BeRobin the Movie

Jan 01, 2015
A documentary about Margaret Cho's homeless outreach campaign inspired by the philanthropy of Robin Williams. After the death of her friend Robin Williams, Margaret Cho took to the streets of San Francisco with the mantra "Don't grieve Robin, BE Robin." What started as Margaret busking on the corner with a bag of socks and a guitar case, rapidly turned into hundreds of musicians, comedians, and homeless advocates spreading food, clothes, money, and awareness in an amazing humanitarian street theater experience. The film that captured these events, is not only entertaining, but deeply moving and above all else inspiring.

Bob Mould & Fred Armisen: Come What May - Hardly Strictly Bluegrass
1
“I was thrilled when the Hardly Strictly folks asked me to perform for this year’s online series,” Mould said. “They wondered if I had a colleague who might be able to help out on a few songs, and I immediately thought of my good friend, Fred Armisen — he wrote the foreword for DISTORTION — and fortunately he was available on ‘tape day.’ Fred drove up from Los Angeles, we rehearsed the entire set at soundcheck, and then ran the set a second time for the cameras. I love it when things come together so easily, and we’re both really happy with the performance.”
