A World War II-era college student must journey to Africa both to find his missing archaeology professor and search for the treasured mines of Kilimanjaro. He is followed by natives as well as scheming Chinese and Nazis

When three prisoners of war escape from a prison camp in Yugoslavia they encounter partisans, who they agree to help fight in return for a safe passage to freedom. Their task is to blow up a strategic bridge which is heavily defended by German troops. Follow the action, frought with danger as our heroes complete their mission to destroy... the bridge to hell.

Father Joseph Mohr, a newly appointed priest in the town of Oberndorf (near Salzburg), meets the beautiful prostitute Magdalene. He struggles to change her situation and make a new life for her, and while doing so, they fall in love. Mohr struggles with his feelings for her, versus his commitment to God. Meanwhile, the Prior, Mohr's superior, whose corrupt dealings with the Baron von Seidl are threatened by Mohr's integrity and honesty, works (unsuccessfully) to falsely accuse Mohr of sexual misconduct with Magdalene, and thereby remove him from office. Meanwhile, Mohr and local schoolteacher Franz Gruber compose the hymn "Silent Night".

Le protagoniste de la série est Jack Clementi (joué par Bud Spencer ), détective d'assurance de Lloyd's de Londres , appelé par tous " professeur ". Lorsqu'il n'est pas au travail, il vit dans un hôtel du Cap d'Antibes , sur la Côte d'Azur , dirigé par Madame Fernande (interprétée par Mylène Demongeot ). Dans tous les épisodes, il est rejoint par Simon Lecoq ( Denis Karvil ), son "chauffeur de taxi" et collaborateur personnel.
