Sarah Tyler retourne chez les siens pour une brève visite, l'environnement familial n'étant pas des plus agréables. L'arrivée d'une forte tempête va forcer Sarah, ses frères ainsi qu'un couple d'amis à rester dans cette maison isolée au milieu de la campagne toute une nuit. Ils se lancent dans une petite fête improvisée et vont vite découvrir qu'ils ne sont pas seuls, une bête sauvage assoiffée de sang surgit de l'obscurité pour les attaquer.
