Après une longue séparation, Blanche Dubois vient rejoindre sa soeur, Stella, qui vit avec son mari Stanley, ouvrier immigré, dans le vieux quartier français de La Nouvelle-Orléans. Stanley n'apprécie guère les manières distinguées de Blanche et cherche à savoir quel a été son passé.

Anne, a Parisian, visits her friend Yola in Tel Aviv, where Yola lives with her husband Avi and their son. There's tension in the air and the attraction between the two women is palpable. Flash back five years to their meeting, on a train to Jerusalem. Yola invites Anne to stay at her hotel, and over the next five days, their friendship builds from talk about their lives to an explosive menage a trois when Avi joins them on fourth day. Back in the present, can Yola have both Avi and Anne, or are the women futilely chasing rainbows?

Le film suit la route de l'Exodus, le bateau qui amena les immigrants juifs en terre d'Israël après la guerre, ainsi que les négociations avec les autorités britanniques. Le nouvel État d'Israël se voit par la suite attaqué de toutes parts.

Based on a short story by Abraham B. Jehoshua, the movie follows Eli (Oded Kotler) taking care of an old girlfriend's child for three days. He wants him to get hurt, he worries about him. Will the child survive the three days? Will Eli?

Like many, another young Israeli, Rafi never gave much thought to the fact that when he reached a certain age, he would be expected to serve in the Israeli Army and that he would experience active duty in combat. It certainly never occurred to him that he might be injured, and if it did, it never occurred to him that he would be crippled, as he was. Now he must try to learn to cope with a life which is vastly different from anything he ever imagined, and at first he has nothing but bitterness. An older veteran tries to help him learn to cope, and his relatives work hard to adjust as well. However, only his sister-in-law Maya seems to understand his state of mind and doesn't freak out at his easily provoked displays of temper.
