In the 16th century, the Inquisition condemns Count Orloff, a vampire and sorcerer to death. In the 19th century, the vampire Madame Kostoff arrives in Mexico and buys the house where the vampire was buried and revives him.

Juan Alonso goes through life without giving himself time to smell the flowers along the way. He stumbles upon a cabaret show and falls in love with the star. What he finds out later is that the lead dancer is actually a transsexual and he is torn by her feelings for her. Surprisingly beautiful, this story really takes a lot of twists and turns.

Mexican comedian Alfonso Zayas is just one of the many folks in town who are cheating on their spouses, imagining themselves quite clever and secretive, even while unbeknownst to them their spouses are cheating on them in turn! When one of the many women with whom Zayas has a child dies tragically, he attempts to integrate his daughter into one of his other families, calling her his goddaughter. But when his son falls in love with her, the many sexual escapades around town threaten to take a disturbing turn for the worse.
