This animated short follows an unwanted baby who is passed from house to house. The film is the Canadian contribution to an hour-long feature film celebrating UNESCO's Year of the Child (1979). It illustrates one of the ten principles of the Declaration of Children's Rights: every child is entitled to a name and a nationality. The film took home an Oscar® for Best Animated Short Film.

A giant statue of the letter "E" arrives in the park. One man sees it as "B"; they are preparing to cart him off to the looney bin when a doctor arrives and determines the man needs glasses. Then the king arrives...

Just as he does every morning, a man is preparing to jump into his car and head off to work when the remote control gizmo refuses to cooperate.

Documentary about the 1759 Battle of the Plains of Abraham in Quebec, part of the Seven Years War between Britain and France. Both leaders, Wolfe and Montcalm, died in the battle, which decided control over what would become Canada. Includes re-enactments of the battle and the personalities of the two commanders. For two months Montcalm and Quebec City endured English bombardments. However, in what the documentary describes as an exceptionally well planned operation during the night of September 12th, Wolfe got 4500 men and two cannons up L’Anse-au-Foulon cliffs to the Plains of Abraham. Montcalm, who never commanded an army before being posted to New France, chose to leave the city walls and try to fight a linear battle against a better trained army.

Driven by his love of cannabis, a street dog displays incredible promise for the drug squad when he chases down a local dealer. He makes headlines worldwide as he takes on smugglers and crime lords. But when his drug habit and his work inevitably collide, a clear message emerges: dogs and cannabis don't mix.

Simon «les nuages» découvre, dans ses rêves, un pays fabuleux et paisible, où se sont réfugiés tous les animaux disparus au cours des siècles ou décimés par la faute des humains. Convaincu que ce lieu existe, il veut aller le visiter. Simon réussira à convaincre son cousin Pierre-Alexandre de partir avec lui. Mis au courant de leur expédition secrète, d'autres enfants rejoignent les deux aventuriers. Par contre, ils doivent user de stratagèmes pour ne pas être vus par les adultes. Sans quoi, l'enchantement est rompu et il faut recommencer.

Évitant le piège de la nostalgie, utilisant à la fois documents d'archives, fictions, témoignages actuels et extraits d'une création théâtrale, Paul Tana brosse un portrait attachant et nuancé des Italiens de Montréal. Depuis les premières vagues d'immigration au début du siècle jusqu'au concert du jeune rocker Aldo Nova, le film relève, quelques fois avec humour, les contradictions des Italiens d'ici, profondément partagés entre l'attachement à leur patrie d'origine et le besoin d'être acceptés à part entière par la société québécoise.

Marleau travaille comme gardien de nuit dans un grand studio de production de films : Popcorn international. L'emploi lui convient parce qu'une carrière de comédien achevée en queue de poisson lui a laissé un goût amer. Marleau ne désire plus que tranquillité et anonymat. Le sort en décidera autrement quand un mystérieux individu assassine un à un les patrons de Popcorn international, annonçant chacun de ses crimes par un air mélancolique de trombone. Qu'ont fait ces hommes pour se mériter pareille vengeance ? Marleau a intérêt à le découvrir, et vite : l'assassin laisse sur chaque cadavre un indice l'incriminant, lui. Pour ajouter à ses soucis, sa fille Josée, une perspicace adolescente férue d'informatique, lui rend une visite au terme de laquelle elle se convainc qu'elle seule saura sauver son défaitiste de père. De son côté, l'inspecteur de police Graselli compte bien trouver son profit dans une affaire qui devrait lui valoir avancement et gloire.
