Il tombe rapidement sous le charme de Mayako la cadette et va entretenir avec elle une relation un peu difficile car elle souffre de Xeroderma Pigmentosum (maladie génétique se caractérisant par une hypersensibilité de la peau au soleil). Malgré ce terrible fardeau, ils arrivent à s’aimer…pourtant tout va s’emballer lorsque Tsukiko va aussi coucher avec Kazuhiko et qu’après, ce dernier va se retrouver très mal dans sa peau.
