The new reality changes the usual life in the village of Babylon. Attempts to communize the small town are met with resistance from the rich people living in the town. The Red Army finally puts down the resistance. Amidst the resistance philosopher Fabian returns to Babylon and tries to prevent bloodshed, but he meets a tragic fate.

Le film raconte l'histoire d'amour de la Seconde Guerre mondiale en 1943. Annychka, une fille hutsul, se retrouve au milieu des hostilités et fait la connaissance d'un soldat blessé dans la forêt. S'occupant du soldat, elle tombe amoureuse de lui et se retourne contre son petit ami du village, devenu collaborateur nazi. Après avoir informé son père de la décision de s'enfuir avec le soldat, elle le conduit au désespoir et à la folie.

And viewers will get a whole lot of emotions and experiences, because to watch it all from the really interesting, as the arisen situation can hardly be called a typical and familiar to modern movies.
