Chapter one in the “Tran-ilogy of Terror ” begins when Peaches Christ discovers a hideous little-person and makes her part of the popular Midnight Mass stage-show. Peaches and sidekick Martiny nickname the creature “Troll Girl” and poke fun at her while she attempts to steal the spotlight onstage. Later, during the taping of a TV cooking episode, Martiny eats an entire casserole named “Cheese Blackout”. She falls violently ill. Peaches must hire a live-in nurse to care for Martiny. When the nurse murders Martiny via an intravenous cheese overdose, Peaches discovers Troll Girl to be the caretaker in disguise… from here the terror is just beginning!

Jodie and Tyler are two commercial actors who land a gig with a New York-based creative firm to film a series of ads for an energy utility based in Seattle. The energy company is attempting to promote natural gas and fend off electrification in the region, and Jodie and Tyler make the perfect mother-son combo for their propaganda campaign. In between shoots at the studio, where they learn how to pronounce "Puget Sound" and extol the benefits of cooking on gas stove tops, Jodie and Tyler attempt to break out into new roles in their personal lives, from their relationships and identities to their dreams of being taken seriously as actors.

On senior picture day, Simone must confront her demons.
