“PHANTOM COLLECTOR” is about a popular smart phone app amoung young people called “FANCOLE”. The aim is to search for ghosts in haunted places, and capture them by taking a photo of them. But there's an urban legend; if you take a picture of a real ghost, you will die.

One day, Tatsumi, a lonely underworld worker, comes across the murder scene of his ex-girlfriend Kyoko. Tatsumi escapes with Kyoko's younger sister, Aoi, who was with her. On the other hand, Aoi, who has lost her beloved family and vows revenge, pursues the murderer of Kyoko. Tatsumi, who is at loggerheads with the impudent Aoi, decides to accompany her on her journey for revenge, and as he cooperates with her, a certain feeling begins to develop.

Following the excitement of first Bangkok and then New York, a big murder case takes place in Tokyo. Chinatown master detectives Tangren and Qinfeng are invited to take up the mystery.
