Alors que les armées de la Libération sont aux portes de Paris, le directeur de la station Kurt Heyzmann reçoit l'ordre de repli de ses supérieurs hiérarchiques. En guise d'adieu, il décide de préparer une dernière émission de prestige qui sera tournée et diffusée en direct. Kleischter, un lieutenant de la Gestapo surgit pour tenter de gâcher le spectacle, en cherchant noise à Heyzmann et à ses employés. Il estime que la guerre n'est pas terminée et continue à traquer dans les locaux de la télévision les éventuels juifs et déserteurs du STO.
