Nov 17, 2005Tom Kostner is a macho man. He cheats on his two girlfriends, drives a flashy Cobra and works as an editor for a car magazine. He lives in a chic penthouse with his roommate, the bartender Ecki . But it is more appearances than reality: he is soon fired from the magazine. His girlfriend Manu catches him with his other girlfriend and leaves him too. He applies to some other magazines, but has no success there. When his Cobra is towed because he is behind on the installments, he grasps at his last straw: he applies to a women's magazine. However, since they prefer to hire women and homosexual men, he plays the gay man. At first he makes a few mistakes, but ultimately manages to convince the other employees.

Au départ, son équipe est composée de Henning Burre, incarné par Karlheinz Lemken, et du jeune Nick Siegel, incarné par Til Schweiger, qui, lors de la saison 2 en 1996, sera tué par balle sous les yeux de sa supérieure profondément touchée par cet événement. Elle n’hésitera pas à tirer sur l’assassin de son jeune policier. Il sera remplacé par Jan Orlop, incarné par Thomas Scharff.
Notons également la présence du policier Ingo Esser (saison 6) incarné par Walter Renneisen.
Sur le plan privé, la commissaire Léa Sommer vit seule avec son fils Daniel qui partira étudier la musique classique aux États-Unis. De manière très récurrente, elle est au téléphone avec son ami Jonathan, visiblement toujours aux quatre coins du monde pour raisons professionnelles. Le rôle de Jonathan ne sera jamais vraiment incarné, sinon une ou deux fois, très brièvement et sans scénario.
