Two friends telling each other stories find themselves stuck in a room from which they cannot escape. A strange will disease gradually overcomes them and they can't figure out why.

A teenage girl, Norah (Marie Kremer), living with her depressed father, Jean-Michel (Thierry Lefevre), in Luxembourg, obsesses over the whereabouts of her missing mother, who left them both when Norah was still a newborn. Norah is a misfit and devotes her energy to helping others and conversing with an imaginary friend. But, when she receives information pertaining to the possible location of her mother, Norah has to seriously think about inviting the woman back into her life.

Dans une ville portuaire du Nord de la France, c'est la rentrée des classes. Olivier, onze ans, vit seule avec sa mère, Monique. Chauffeur de taxi, la quarantaine, elle ne cache à personne qu'elle a fait son enfant toute seule, qu'elle n'a jamais revu le père. Olivier supporte mal cette mère qui ne se soucie guère de son apparence. Aussi se met-il à raconter des histoires à ses camarades : son père devient un espioon, sa mère un top model. Pris dans l'engrenage du mensonge, il fait passer Véra séduisant mannequin de supermarché, pour sa mère. Olivier est enfin heureux ; Véra trouve dans ce rôle un réconfort à ses problèmes sentimentaux. Mais Véra est victime d'un grave accident de la route...
