Two employees of the Icelandic Road Administration spend the summer painting lines on the winding roads as they both find themselves at a crossroads in their lives.

The film chronicles a long-ago time when men relied not on their intellect to make points, but on their swords. A mythical warrior ('Ralf Moeller (I)') wanders the snow-capped landscapes of the North territories on an arduous quest for vengeance. Amid nobles and schemers, saints and brutes, and lovers and fools, this Viking swings his sword for his family's honor, his beloved's hand, and the very survival of his pitiless culture.

In the early summer of 1980, eleven-year-old Hanna and the rest of her childhood band aim to bring criminals to justice when a threat to destroy the last dance of school comes their way. Their ensuing adventure pits good vs. evil and disco vs. punk, and ends with love and unity conquering all.

Islande. Un an auparavant a eu lieu une violente éruption du volcan sous-glaciaire " Katla ". Au coeur de la ville de Vik, la cité la plus proche, la glace commence à fondre.
