Yoyo est une jeune lycéenne âgée d'à peine 18 ans. Cheung quant à lui, est un professeur de 31 ans qui essaie désespérément d'avoir un emploi dans un établissement privé à Londres. Les familles de nos deux héros qui se connaissent depuis fort longtemps ont décider de respecter une promesse faite par leur grands parents en mariant ces 2 jeunes gens, tout en leur faisant signer un contrat qui leur permettra de divorcer au bout d'un an. Ce mariage tiendra-t-il avec une différence d'âge aussi importante?... Et qu’adviendra-t-il du fameux contrat?

Lors d'un séjour camping, une étudiante trouve une vieille corde avec laquelle elle répare son sac à dos déchiré, sans savoir que cette corde avait servi des décennies auparavant à un vieil érudit déshonoré pour se pendre. Le fantôme de l'érudit se manifeste dans l'école et se lie d'amitié avec l'étudiante et deux de ses amis ; il leur enseigne l'importance des études, de l'amour, de la famille et de l'amitié.

Ip Cheung and her husband, a senior police inspector, had been happily married for 18 years. One day, Ip runs into her neighbour, a Taiwanese woman. As they are talking, three men suddenly appeared and tried to kill them. The Taiwanese woman is killed but Ip and the kid, Yen, managed to escape. At the same time, Ip's husband commits suicide. His superior suspected him of corruption. Ip finds out that the Taiwanese woman was her husband's mistress and Yen, his illegitimate son. Ip is given custody of Yen but they are unable to get along. However she will save his live when the gang go after him.

This film is a Hong Kong version of the British Carry On films, this one specifically set in a hospital. The hospital is full of inept people, so Miss Kuk (Meg Lam) vows to the board that she will reform it. This involves the recruitment of student nurses, keeping in check some silly interns and dealing with Dr. Chen, whose wife just left him.

Story is about a couple of girls named Ching (Lam San San) and An An (Pak Wan Yin) who have been rivals ever since they were little kids. The main gist of the story, besides trying to go one up on each other, deals with the girls’ hot pursuit of super jock, Paul (Chan Chun Kwok). Ching is the first one to gain Paul’s attention while An An is busy toying with geeky looking Michael’s (Dicky Cheung) love for her. Eventually, Paul gets tired of Ching and Michael wakes up and realizes that An An is playing him and to rub salt in their wounds, Paul decides that An An is the one for him! Next thing you, kiddy hijinks ensue as Michael and Ching feign suicide to make Paul and An An feel guilty, but when the latter believes that the suicide is for real, they too (half heartedly) decide to take their own lives. Michael and Ching must rush to save them from death, but during the whole near explosive melee, they come to the conclusion that they were made for each other.

My Sassy Husband follows Yoyo Ma and Thirteen Cheung’s union 10 years later to present day where they are experiencing marital problems. After they realize that their wedding ceremony held in London is not considered official in Hong Kong, they decide to part ways in search of their real love. While Yoyo and Thirteen both start dating new prospects, will they end up back together?
