Les années soixante à Sarajevo. Dino, jeune adolescent des mornes banlieues, égaye sa vie un peu grise par des soirées au cinéma qui dévoile un Occident plein de tentations, des séances d'hypnotismes dans son pigeonnier, et la musique, le rock qui lui fait oublier tout le reste. Alors paraît Dolly Bell, pulpeuse stripteaseuse qui lui fait connaître ses premiers et plus profonds émois.

Based on a short story of Ivo Andrić, famous Yugoslav Nobel Prize winner, this film is set in Sarajevo during WW2. Mento is a humble, poor Jew who runs a caffe. Stjepan is a man of unknown background, with no social or psychological dimension, who joined Nazis to leave any sort of trace behind himself.

A high representative goes by the narrow macadam road to the grand opening of the facility in a mountain village, another new victory of his own. In the car with him was not his wife but his mistress, a young and rather attractive girl. The car stucks in the quite large and deep puddle in the middle of the country road...

At the top of the rugged Bosnian mountain, young shepherd Mehmed patiently watches over his cows and lovingly carves the figure of a woman in a piece of wood. Almost on cue, a novice paraglider unexpectedly falls from the sky. Deborah speaks only French and he speaks only Bosnian, but they tentatively communicate, and she accepts the hospitality offered by Mehmed's mom: a bed and a meal of "mountain-style" tripe. Love soon bridges the cultural divide, and the story develops into a series of hilarious escapades showcasing the beautiful landscape and local sounds
