In this Dadaist love story there are many recurring themes: death and rebirth, multiple identities and doppelgangers, false prophets, love and love lost, the corruption of power and fragility of what is real or true. Using a recreation of Marcel Duchamp's Etant Donnes, a trickster of old mythology awakens Maria Martins (played by Kim Gordon) from the dream state. She learns that her lover, a captive Marcel Duchamp, has been kidnapped by a group of terrorists and forced to recite the chess moves to a historical match. Maria must enter a deep and strange rabbit hole to save her love.

Clandestin africain ayant rejoint l'Europe au risque de sa vie, Amadou a atterri il y a quelques temps à Bruxelles dans l'espoir d'y trouver une vie à la hauteur de ses grandes espérances, mais n'y récolte que la misère et l'exploitation. Refusant de travailler d'avantage pour le marchand de sommeil qui l'exploite en échange d'un logement miséreux, il décide, au risque de se retrouver dans une situation encore plus critique, de partir à la conquête du monde occidental et riche dont il désire tant faire partie. Après plusieurs tentatives infructueuses, il parvient, en cachant sa situation réelle et grâce à son audace folle, à créer un contact avec Agnès, une brillante femme d'affaires fortunée qui représente son idéal occidental. Parallèlement, il se rapproche d'Anya, une prostituée de l'est travaillant dans son quartier, prise dans les griffes d'un réseau de traite d'être humains.
