Adolfo Cocchi has a building firm but his plan to build a set of buildings is been stopped by an old former Garibaldian, Don Leopoldo, who refuses to sell his property. A group of young people go to his house to play and sing. Marcella, Cocchi's daughter, who has a beautiful voice, goes to visit Leopoldo and falls in love with Paolo. They have an idea: open a night-club called "Io bacio... tu baci"...

Tony a young unrecognized pop singer spends most of his free time wooing all the beautiful girls he comes across. By resorting to all sorts of expedients, he manages to navigate between six semi-official girlfriends.

Antonio Berlinghieri, un ingénieur de quarante ans séparé de son épouse s'en va rendre visite à son fils placé en pensionnat. Que la route il dépanne une bande de jeunes allant passer le week-end au bord de la mer. Dans cette bande dont les membres n'attirent pas vraiment la sympathie, il remarque Francesca qui s'amuse à le provoquer. Notre ingénieur tombe sous le charme et finit par intégrer le groupe ne voulant pas perdre de vue cette jolie jeune fille et se nourrissant d'illusions, allant même jusqu'à supporter les humiliations que lui feront subir le groupe. Le week-end terminé, Antonio se retrouvera seul sans ses illusions.

The television director and his crew show up to film the hostage crisis, and then things get progressively more bizarre and satirical. Not content with the living drama, he directs everyone's actions to make the event more newsworthy.
