In the recent years, Montañita - a beach town in Ecuador - has experienced a lot of exposure and growth. As is often the case, this development has brought a host of challenges that threaten to destroy the unique character of the town. So a question arises; As Montañita becomes big and successful, will it retain its special vibe? Or will its magic be broken?

The Come Up is about a young comedian as a young man who struggles to try to make it but the terrible streets kind of get him caught up. He's got a few homeboys that he hangs with that try to get him to do all the wrong things with them but he tries his best not to engage with the activities that's surrounding him. He get caught on the street doing a lil drugs at one time, get caught up in a robbery with his homeboys, get caught stealing and his momma puts him out the house. But he's got this girl on his side that keeps in straight and in order. And this is how he makes it. Meanwhile he's doing comedy shows at the clubs and people are laughing at him and not his jokes. He finally makes it as a comedian one day.

What can be said about Yacht Rock that hasn't been said by various magazines, newspapers and disc jockeys across the country? J.D. Ryznar and Hunter Stair's saga detailing the unknown mythical origins of a previously obscure genre of music struck the audience like a lightning bolt on its first episode, much like fellow 101 breakout House of Cosbys. Unlike HoC, however, Yacht Rock was never sued by its iconic characters' real life counterparts. In fact, it is said that at one time or another, just about every musician lovingly portrayed in the series has witnessed and enjoyed it behind closed doors. Yacht Rock enjoyed success on levels and in ways previously unattained by 101 shows, its title becoming a household phrase at radio stations, a bin at your local record store and a category on iTunes.
