A young businessman, out jogging one night, sees a beautiful woman undressing in her bedroom window. He is compelled to return every night to watch her, until one night he witnesses a murder in the same apartment and soon becomes the prime suspect.

Stuck in a sexless marriage, a frustrated well-to-do couple agrees to see a female sex therapist. Unfortunately, she only helps escalate the tensions between them. Meanwhile, the police are baffled by a string of brutal nightly killings.

Benton Fraser, un officier de la police montée canadienne, est affecté à l'ambassade de son pays à Chicago. Aidé de son loup Diefenbacker et de Ray Vecchio, un policier de Chicago, il tente de mettre hors circuit les bandits de la ville grâce à ses méthodes très personnelles, issues de son enfance, dans les forêts canadiennes.
