Après "Le Scaphandre et Le Papillon", Julian Schnabel retrace l'histoire de femmes dont les destinées s'entrelacent sur trois générations, animées par une quête éperdue de justice, d'espoir et de réconciliation dans un monde assombri par les conflits, la fureur et la guerre.
