A teenage boy is hired along with the music group of his father by a Zamindar (landlord) for entertaining him until the annual flood is over in the Haor region of East Bengal. But the boy finds out that he has to do something more than the rest of the members of the group are required- he has to satisfy the landlord sensually as well. The wife of the landlord cannot stand this new 'rival' of hers and conspires to kill the boy.

Sabina, Ruma and Nazjnin work every day from early morning to late evening in the dangerous and dirty environment of the textile industry. The job provides no prerequisites for neither completing schooling, nor being able to move from the conditions in the slum. The rules at the factory are harsh and in order to provide for their families, they must continue to sew the clothes that we in the Western world want to buy as cheaply as possible.
