When hard boiled private eye Donald Strachey finds his latest client dead, an apparent suicide, Albany’s favorite gay detective smells a rat and decides to take matters into his own hands. With the help of his straight-laced but adoring husband Tim and his occasionally too-eager assistant Kenny, Strachey’s investigation leads him on a dark and dangerous trail into the world of "gay conversion therapy".

Six years after a violent car crash claimed her parents' lives, Jesse is still trying to put her life back together. The asylum seems somehow connected to her missing parents and furthermore, the building is far from deserted. The group discovers that a sinister doctor has taken up residence in the building's vast underground and he is using extreme science trying to bring his wife back from the dead! The basement also contains the countless remains of the doctor's failed experiments, all of which are now slowly coming back to life when they make contact with a murky substance that has begun to leak out of several holding tanks!

Los Luchadores is a Canadian-American live-action children's television series that played as part of the Fox Kids programming block in 2001 produced by Saban Entertainment and Shavick Entertainment. The series was about a group of lucha libre wrestlers led by Lobo Fuerte who, along with Turbine and Maria Valentine, fought villains such as the Whelp, the pet Chihuahua of a mad scientist who eventually becomes an evil genius through a freak accident. The series title is translated as "The Wrestlers" or "The Fighters" from Spanish. Los Luchadores were the defenders of Union City. It was their job to protect Union City from a slew of different enemies and the bumbling antics of Mayor Potts who truly meant to do only good for Union City, things just seemed to always take a turn for the worse.

Blood Ties is a Canadian television series based on the Blood Books by Tanya Huff; the show was created by Peter Mohan. It is set in Toronto, Canada and has a similar premise to an earlier series also set in Toronto, Forever Knight, in which a vampire assists police in dealing with crime. It premiered in the United States on March 11, 2007 on Lifetime Television, and during fall of 2007 on Citytv and Space in Canada. In May 2008, Lifetime declined to renew the series.
