It is 1853. Atsuko, adopted daughter of Shimazu Nariakira of the Satsuma clan and known to history as “Atsu-hime”, is en route by palanquin from her home to the castle of the Shogun in distant Edo. She is not happy with this, however, and resolves to struggle against her fate. In the mountains of Hakone she runs from her procession. Her governess Tae and the woman ninja Mitsu give chace. Continuing on in spite of their entreaties to come back, she looks up as the weird light of a meteor envelops them. The next thing she knows, she has gone 160 years into the future…

She meets Lisa, also 17, and the two quickly form a bond of understanding as they help each other work out their problems. Lisa holds a grudge against her mother for paying more attention to the men she brings home than her own daughter and Maiko begins to doubt her artistic dream will ever come to fruition after a book editor judges her writing ability harshly.

"Dai 6 Kan Hit Mankai!" features a concert from their 2005 spring tour. It was filmed May 7 at Nippon Budokan and was also the graduation concert for 4th generation member Ishikawa Rika.

Yossie, une jeune fille issue d'une famille pauvre se tuant au travail, et Charmy, une enfant gâtée issue d'une famille riche, sont toutes les deux malheureuses dans la vie qu'elles mènent. Un jour, leur mère à chacune décide d'écrire une lettre à la fée-extra-terrestre Aibon pour lui demander d'aider leur fille. Aibon, un peu joueuse, décide de venir en aide à ces deux jeunes filles et pour ça elle va (accidentellement) interchanger leur vie. Yossie se retrouve donc dans un grand manoir avec deux domestiques à son service ainsi qu'un père noble richissime. Charmy, quant à elle, se retrouve au milieu de 4 sœurs survoltées, un père indigne, ivrogne et vulgaire, le tout dans un appartement plus petit que son ancienne table à manger. Utaban was a long-running Japanese music variety show, broadcast weekly from October 15, 1996 until March 23, 2010 on TBS. The name of the show is an abbreviation of "uta bangumi", meaning "music program". A special version of the show, running for two hours, was occasionally aired under the name Tokuban, an abbreviation of "tokubetsu bangumi", meaning "special program". The show's theme song, played during the opening sequence and closing credits, was "These Boots Are Made for Walkin'" by Nancy Sinatra.

Mecha-Mecha Iketeru! is a popular Japanese variety show, shown on Fuji TV. The hosts of the show are the owarai duo Ninety-Nine, and the show is usually attended by regulars Yoiko, Gokuraku Tombo, Oasiz, Shinji Takeda, Akiko Hinagata, and Sarina Suzuki. However, Gokuraku Tombo's Keiichi Yamamoto has not appeared on the show since being involved in a scandal in 2006. Egashira 2:50 also appears as a semi-regular guest. TV Champion is a Japanese television variety show produced by TV Tokyo. The show challenges competitors with various talents in an array of tasks in order to crown one "King" of their ability. Episodes have focused on talents like Origami, Lego, and cooking fake food. TV Champion premiered on 16 April 1992 as a 1 hour show, but was extended to a 90 minute format in 1993. And change format to TV Champion 2 in 2006 by running 1 hour.

Hello! Morning (ハロー!モーニング) is a weekly television show starring the lead Hello! Project group Morning Musume (although originally, all Hello! Project members were featured). It has aired 11:30 to 12:30 Sundays on TV Tokyo. It has been on the air from April 2000 until April 2007. The name of the show is often abbreviated as ハロモニ (Haromoni). The last episode of Hello! Morning was aired April 1st, 2007 after 354 episodes. The show was replaced with a new show called Haromoni@, which is somewhat shorter and has a different concept.

A Japanese TV drama starring a full Hello! Project cast. The drama also featured Sakurada Dori, and former Hello! Project members Iida Kaori, Yasuda Kei, Ishikawa Rika, Kikkawa Yuu and Saho Akari. A mathematics genius girl Machida Nina (Tanaka Reina) starts in a new school and attempts to find her elder sister who vanished from said school one year ago. The story, developed with the cooperation of the International Mathematical Olympiad in Japan, set at a specialized math school, where Tanaka Reina and Michishige Sayumi both take on the roles of “Suugaku Joshi” (“math girls”). Naturally, the show incorporates various mathematical functions and formulas into the story and dialogue.
