In the summer of 1977, a group of working girls are being coerced by a mysterious and sinister pimp Bossy Jim and his young partner Chaka, to become involved in a profit-share scheme.

Ernie's job at cleaning the houses of celebrities gives him a chance to delve into the private lives of Australian film and TV stars which he reports back to his gal pal Zara, an actors agent. Ernie takes on a new client, a divorced dietitian Lizzie, who doubts his outrageous stories and gossip about celebrities and his mysterious past.

Neighbours is an Australian television soap opera. The show's storylines concern the domestic and professional lives of the people who live and work in Erinsborough, a fictional suburb of Melbourne, Victoria. The series primarily centres around the residents of Ramsay Street, a short cul-de-sac, and its neighbouring areas, the Lassiters complex, which includes a bar, hotel, cafe, news office and park. Neighbours began with three families created by Watson – the Ramsays, the Robinsons and the Clarkes. Watson said that he wanted to show three families who are friends living in a small street. The Robinsons and the Ramsays had a long history and were involved in an ongoing rivalry.

Six teens arrive at Arcadia House to pursue their dreams. For some it's the opportunity of a lifetime, for others it's a last chance. All are strangers and the last thing they expect to find is family.
