La série couvrait des histoires telles que Frankenstein, avec Lon Chaney Jr, 20 000 lieues sous les mers avec Thomas Mitchell dans le rôle du capitaine Nemo, et bien d'autres avec des acteurs tels que Boris Karloff, Brian Keith, Lee J. Cobb, Rod Steiger, Bruce Cabot, Franchot Tone, Gene Lockhart, Walter Abel, Leslie Nielsen et Paul Newman. La série présentait de nombreuses similitudes avec la série plus tardive Twilight Zone qui couvrait également une des mêmes histoires, "What You Need". Au total, elle a duré quatre-vingt-cinq épisodes de 30 minutes.
