The old man and the old woman want an enviable groom for a girl, a "noble and glamorous" handsome man. But Maryushka loves Ivanushka the Fisherman and she will find her happiness only thanks to the Goldfish.

The film "Christmas Stories" consists of two short stories, the action of which takes place in Russia at the end of the XIX century on the eve of Christmas. In the first story, a boy, Kolya, wants to see a star of Bethlehem, for which he goes out onto a balcony on a frosty night and gets very sick. The second story tells about a girl, Zhenya, who wants to sell her favorite doll to buy medicine for her sick mother.

However, having moved out on a mission, young Frost loses his magic staff, and he finds himself somewhere on the outskirts of Moscow. The magical power hidden in the staff is possessed by an official who uses it for his own purposes. And Frost-son is trying to navigate the New Year's metropolis and cope with the difficult task set for him.
