L'histoire tourne autour de Ming Ming, une scénariste de dramas et de Eason une ex-idole, anciennement chanteur dans le groupe H.E devenu totalement "has been" depuis la dissolution du groupe quelques années plus tôt. Lorsque le nouveau drama de Ming Ming perd son acteur principal au dernier moment, Eason se trouve être la "roue de secours" et se voit offrir le premier rôle. Cependant, n'ayant aucune expérience d'acteur, un bon nombre d'obstacles viennent barrer sa route : à commencer par l'impitoyable productrice du drama ou encore la perfectionniste actrice principale Pei Ni, qui font tout pour virer son personnage du drama le plus vite possible.
