"Second réalisateur après Atsushi Yamatoya à réaliser son premier long métrage commercial chez Wakamatsu Productions, Adachi a achevé avec ce "pink" atypique un film traitant du sexe et de la reproduction. Notons à nouveau la présence de Sadao Marukido après "Quand l'embryon part braconner", dans le rôle du gynécologue délirant, et l'emprunt fait par le film aux méthodes des films éducatifs sur la sexualité dans un style rappelant les "geki-ga", ces mangas réalistes et violents des années 1960 et 1970.
