Isako Nakazato, un jeune femme dans la trentaine revient dans son village de pêcheur natal, accompagnée de son concubin Tokyoïte, Tetsuo. Elle comptait s’installer dans la maison familiale, mais celle-ci étant occupée, elle se rabat sur une cabane. Tetsuo a du mal à se faire à la vie provinciale. Par hasard, il fait la connaissance d’une jeune aveugle.
