A lifeguard at Lake Müggel has his hand bitten off and the marks indicate a shark attack. The lake is closed to the public by extending a local festival indefinitely while the city council thinks of what can be done to remove the shark. The public becomes restless having their lake closed for so long and come up with a plan to drive the shark from the lake with large quantities of beer.

Melanie and Walter seem to be happily married but then strange incidents begin to occur. Their house is broken into but nothing is missing. Someone is observing them and Walter is even pursued and harassed by a young man. The situation escalates when they find out that the daughter of their former housekeeper has died.

RFA, début des années 1980 : Robert s’ennuie dans sa province. Les hippies, omniprésents dans son lycée, et sa petite amie, trop studieuse à son goût, lui tapent sur les nerfs. Rêvant d’une vie punk remplie de drogue et de sexe, il décide de partir pour Berlin-Ouest. Une fois sur place, il retrouve son ami Schwarz, qui lui propose de travailler dans son peep-show. Sans un sou en poche ni d’endroit où dormir, le jeune homme accepte volontiers. Débute alors une plongée dans l’underground punk berlinois des années 1980, où tout semble permis.
