Álvaro Guerra

A doctor from Rio de Janeiro travels to spend his vacation in a small town in the South of Brazil, surrounded by legends about the disappearance of tourists. He stays in the house of a local family (father, son and grandmother), and, during lunch, the boy attempts to alert the doctor about a terrible secret.

Four directors presents four episodes about one of the most terrifying legends from Brazil: the Sanguanel, a Italian creature who terrorized European immigrants in the 19th century.

Luís - ex-student in Lisbon and ex-combatant in Africa - finds, after returning, Maria, secretary who has a relationship with António. He lives in a palace with his children, two old aunts and a Dominican friar, a former missionary.
