'The Girl from Nagasaki' is a 3D feature film production of the classic Puccini Opera 'Madam Butterfly,' directed by world renown photographer Michel Comte. It's a modern day tale that starts with the young Madame Butterfly emerging from the ashes of the atomic bomb in Nagasaki. By a subtle meshing of reality and fantasy, Michel Comte and his team bring to the screen a visual orgy of modern ballet, opera and narrative filmmaking.

Dans les années 1960, cinq jeunes hommes se rencontrent et vont développer une solide amitié. Ces cinq amis se composent d’un ambitieux romancier Ryuzo, Eisuke aspirant à être dessinateur de mangas, le peintre Kei, Shoichi aspirant à être chanteur, et Yuji qui a déménagé à Tokyo pour faire son propre chemin. Ils finissent par vivre ensemble. Chacun travaille dur pour réaliser son rêve, mais le voyage de la jeunesse n’est jamais simple.

Michiko Yamane (Mariko Miyamitsu) is an unsociable university student and part-time worker in her early twenties only crazy for a hobby. At night she becomes a rokurokubi (female yokai with an extremely long and flexible neck). Finally, Mana Saeki (Haruki Ichikawa) is a last year junior high school student with a very bad character and very distrustful of all her friends, who metamorphoses into a nopperabo (yokai without face).
