Nutsa, a young mother, lives with her two children in a suburbs of Tbilisi in Georgia. Her partner Goga is in prison. They get married, so she gains the right to talk to him once a month in the visiting room on the other side of the glass. The ceremony is quick with a strange ambiance. Goga in prison, Nutsa with children outside, a routine sets in.

Nino, la quarantaine, a grandi à Tbilissi durant l’époque soviétique. Issue d’un milieu privilégié, elle y a vécu une enfance heureuse et protégée. Mais depuis la chute du communisme, elle se sent dépassée par la transformation accélérée et la précarité de la société contemporaine. Sa petite boutique ne marche pas et elle a de plus en plus de mal à joindre les deux bouts. Sans grande expérience de la gestion de l’argent, elle souscrit un crédit à un taux exorbitant, avant d’être bientôt piégée par l’engrenage des dettes…

Georgian village during the revolution of 1905. The struggle of the peasantry against the landlords. Tariel Golua's son, Levan, leads the rebellion.
