Quand les nazis occupent un village albanais, après le retrait de l’armée italienne pendant la deuxième guerre mondiale, Tomka et ses amis sont furieux - parce que les Allemands mettent en place le camp militaire sur leur terrain de football. Les partisans locaux recrutent les garçons pour espionner les envahisseurs, et pour les aider à établir une embuscade.

Çaku has lost his parents during a bombardment. He gets acquainted with a partisan during the war. Caku, together with a friend of his, who imitated Chaplin and dreamed of becoming an artist, looks for the partisan till they find him. This meeting and the love and care for the war children, changes everything in his wandering life.
