A story of two delinquent boys at a boarding school, struggling to cope with fathers who abandoned them, and retreating into fantasy.

Olga's husband were missing on the East Ukraine, in military events. In desperate to find him, Olga comes to the witches, who tell her that her husband died. Emotionally destroyed woman does not want to live without her beloved, the witches offered her to drink infusion of mandrake and "all will be forgotten and sorrow and life will pass." Olga is ready for everything only to subsided her emotional pain, but the ritual is going wrong, events of this world and after-world are woven into a tight knot, when it is impossible to separate life from death.

Voyno-Yasenetskyj became head physician in the city hospital. The film is based on the stories Anton Chekhov. It is a tribute to the actor Boris Andreyev. He plays a major role that keeps up for the duration of the film. Lively and intelligent Valery Spout largely mitigates underline the drama of the protagonist, while Michael Sveta's role, though small, is bright and memorable.

It is a screen adaption of the cognominal short story of Olha Kobylianska in which the struggle of the educated women with the bourgeois manners is described. Three girls from one family are very interested in the art and are going to devote a lifetime to it. But it is the beginning of the 20th century with all peculiar to that time disadvantages, and the way to the success is bestrewed with the difficulties.

Kate is a charming but single woman. She had two serious relationships in the past, and both of them ended with a hard break up which left her heart-broken and disappointed. Kate's boyfriend added even more misery by cheating on her on the New Year's eve. She does not know yet that New Year's night will miraculously change her entire life...
