Radharani

Dikshul is a 1943 Bengali film produced by New Theatres Ltd. Directed by Premankur Atorthy, the film featured music by Pankaj Mullick and cinematography by Rabi Dhar. Notably, the film's lyrics were penned by the renowned poet Kazi Nazrul Islam, and it marked the playback singing debut of actress Binota Roy.

A comedy adapted from a successful play. The zamindar Damodar Chakraborty (Chakraborty) starts a school named after his wife and recruits a married couple as teachers. Manas (Ganguly in the role which had made him a stage star) and Niharika (Kanan Devi) pretend to be married in order to get the jobs. Their imposture, together with the fact that he is Hindu while she is Christian, produces complications.

This comedy has a country bumpkin hero Gobardhan visiting his parents-in-law in Calcutta. Mistaking a 'No Nuisance' sign for an address, he gets lost trying to find his friend Amal's room. His subsequent adventures take him to famous locations including Howrah Bridge, the Victoria Memorial and the Maidan. Gobardhan evntually finds his in-laws, feigns illness to prolong his stay, is beaten up when he tries to sneak into his wife's room and gets mistaken for a thief.

Dakshayagna is a pivotal tale in Hindu mythology. It recounts the grand sacrifice ritual organized by Daksha, where his daughter Sati, wife of Lord Shiva, tragically immolates herself due to her father's insult to her husband. Enraged by this, Shiva destroys the sacrifice, leading to the creation of the Shakti Pithas. This event also sets the stage for the reincarnation of Sati as Parvati, who later marries Shiva. The story is central to understanding the complexities of Hindu deities and their interactions.

The story follows two friends, Mohan and Bhola, who stumble upon a mysterious garden house called "Mayakanan." The house is owned by Dr. Naresh Ray, a wealthy scientist with a dark secret. When Ray sets his sights on Shanta, Mohan's fiancée, he resorts to sinister tactics to win her over.
