A couple of retired teachers transform an unused school bus into a mobile home. With the help of a few telescopes, a pension, and a heartfelt dream, they begin their journey to the most isolated parts of Mexico to teach a little astronomy to the public schools across the country for free.

Augusto, a university professor, finds his wife with another man, so he shoots himself with a pistol in front of them. He survives in quadriplegia, without being able to speak or move.

Since an attack on students of the Ayotzinapa Rural Teachers' College in 2014 resulted in six deaths and in the forced disappearance of 43, the students’ families have been living in limbo with their unanswered questions, their struggle embodying the psychological and emotional toll of endemic violence upon Mexican society.
