The film revolves around iconic musician Trịnh Công Sơn and the muses that have come and gone in his life, from his passionate youth in the 1960s to his later middle-aged 1990s.

Mysterious deaths occur in a community where someone, or something, is brewing The Skull Wine, the oldest form of dark magic.

Un homme qui, à l'âge de treize ans, a eu un accident qui l'a laissé avec un handicap mental permanent, retourne de façon obsessionnelle à la maison où il a passé son enfance et au goyavier qu'il aime tant. Son enfance reste plus vivante pour lui que la réalité qu'il habite maintenant, et lorsque la jeune femme qui habite actuellement la maison découvre son histoire, elle l'autorise à entrer, afin qu'il puisse parcourir les pièces de sa mémoire.

Red Bean and Green Bean sustain life by stealing food from the past. The time machine is also a portal for Seahorse – the only surviving girl in the future, to travel back to the present with the Beans family to search for help. A horrible truth is revealed. The 3 girls face a life-or-death decision. Past debt has to be paid in the present, otherwise humankind will become extinct in the future.

Inspired by Chuyện Người Con Gái Nam Xương and Đèn Âm Hồn, the story is set in a rural village in Northern Vietnam during the feudal era. Thương, a mother raising her son Lĩnh alone while awaiting her husband's return from war, faces eerie events after Lĩnh accidentally discovers a mysterious lantern. The boy begins calling the shadow cast on the wall his father. According to the village shaman, the lantern is a đèn âm hồn, capable of summoning vengeful spirits. Strange and haunting occurrences unfold, leaving Thương and the villagers to question: is the shadow truly Lĩnh's father or something far more sinister?

The descendants of an infamous group of bandits investigate a series of brutal murders in their village. Is this karma or the work of a vengeful human?
