A teenager from a poor suburb, Lukica spends his days fighting or looking for work at a local market. His friend Sara lives in a brick house and does online pornography.

Maksim is a retired music professor, a widower, nice, a bit shy, but a good and lonely man. Milena is a retired teacher, a widow, somewhat strict, but with a sense of humor - and also lonely. The two have been coming every week for years to the city cemetery, if it doesn't rain. They don't know each other and never have met, even though they are neighbors, so to speak.

A young non-conformist enrolls at the music academy in Belgrade. There he faces a lot of existential, as well as emotional problems.

A story about war-disabled combatants that fought in Serbo-Turkish wars in 1876-1878. Left on their own and without limbs, they became beggars – a burden for the state that doesn’t pay attention about them. Their destiny depends exclusively on people who feel sympathy.

The action takes place in the village where the master Milun tries to use the servant Sreja and his knowledge “to play nicely on the harps” which is well paid and to make a contract with him to Sreja's detriment, all with the help of village fraudsters, his faithful tricksters.

He tries to join his old friends, hoping they would help him to find happiness he wants. He spends one night with his highschool friends, but memories come back to haunt him, old wounds open again... That night, he sees his generation in true colors and he's trying to salvage at least some of good memories. At dawn, one girl commits suicide, one of his friends is taken by military police, the rest are seriously shook up by events. Coming back from police station, he finds a message from Subotica asking him to come back for work...

Contrary to the world of elders, Urosh and children lead their life of some kind. Suddenly, postman brings the telegram saying that some forgotten cousin from America has died and left two million dollars of inheritance. Unrest enters life of peasants. Everyone has some idea on how to invest the money, feeling at the same time that they don't need it. All of their actions will end differently from what they expected.

Bojana just finished psychology studies and rents a cheap apartment to practice psychotherapy, and is trying to find any kind of job. Zorica, who is a life coach and astrologer, comes from Qatar. Fresh roommates become colleagues and start sharing clients, but also interest in their landlord.
