Whereas the marriage of Maja and Uwe Rath bobs along in a boring routine, daughter Alina is freshly in love with Nico. The film is to show the emotional turmoil of naive teenagers and, in a erotic-romantic way, sheds light on one of the last taboos in our society: incest.

Basé sur une histoire vraie, EXTREME NUMBER est l'histoire d'un jeune réfugié tchétchène qui vient à Berlin, en Allemagne, en 2004 et est jeté en prison. Il fait appel à un traducteur pour s'échapper et rejoint un groupe terroriste qui lui donne un ordre très spécial. Une documentation de guerre authentique est intégrée dans le film en tant que flashback du protagoniste tchétchène. C'est une véritable couverture de la guerre, abattue par un rebelle tchétchène de 1994 à 2000 en Tchétchénie. Les niveaux réels et fictifs de l'histoire se mélangent dans leur ensemble.
