This romantic comedy presents a story of two women, twenty-year-old Laura, an editor at a woman’s weekly, and her widowed mother, a translator-interpreter named Jana. The two of them tirelessly seek Mr. Right. Having once lived through an intense relationship with a ‘typical’ Czech man, Jana intentionally avoids Czech men. She searches for her dream foreigner while long-sufferingly warding off the tragicomic advances of her good-natured neighbor Žemla. After several unsuccessful attempts, Laura falls in love with Oliver, a forty year old who works as an ad agency idea man. Little does she suspect that twenty years ago Oliver was Jana’s true love…

Jan Masaryk est ambassadeur tchécoslovaque à Londres et est le fils de Tomas Masaryk, fondateur de la Tchécoslovaquie. Jan est un véritable patriote, pleinement engagé dans son travail, mais il n’est absolument pas reconnu par les milieux politiques, ce qui le laisse mener une vie de bohème dans l’ombre de l’héritage de son père. En 1938, il consultait déjà le docteur Stein dans un hôpital psychiatrique du New Jersey. C’était un homme sensible, qui abusait de l’alcool et des drogues, mais surtout, il était stressé et frustré face à son impuissance, ce qui lui a valu, d’après le film, d’être interné dans un hôpital psychiatrique.

Lors de vacances en Europe, trois jeunes Américaines rencontrent une superbe inconnue. Celle-ci les invite dans un établissement où elles pourront se reposer et s'amuser. Attirées par cette offre, les trois femmes acceptent et tombent dans un effroyable piège. Livrées à de riches clients associant l'horreur au plaisir, elles vivront le cauchemar absolu.

The year is 1936, the nervous atmosphere of the Nazi threat penetrates into the sport. Upgrade boxe Vilda Jakub will compete with German Kurt Schaller. The Nazis decisions are used in order to win his master even the dirtiest means. Vilda inspect their game and focus on the preparation of environmental events. The story culminates in the victory of one of the two lovers, between which Vilda tense moments in the decision.
