It's almost Christmas but these three people are still on the road. The products don't sell, the car is a wreck and the weather is freezing. Moreover there is a problem: how to cope with an emerging friendship?

A story of five Finnish youth growing up during the devastating '90s recession. They live in the small timber industrial town of Heinola. As the parents of these young teens struggle through hard economic times, the five very different youths meet by coincidence to form the punk band Apulanta.

Joni, 19 ans, doit effectuer son service civique au sein d'une maison de correction pour jeunes à problèmes. Quand on lui explique toutes les règles à respecter dans ce centre, à le voir écouter en silence, on sent tout de suite qu'il y a aussi quelque chose de relativement anormal en lui."Tu dois être un modèle pour ces jeunes, quelqu'un de stable" lui dit-on, mais un seul regard échangé avec Raisa, une fille de 17 ans aux cheveux décolorés et aux yeux fortement charbonneux, suffit pour qu'on comprenne qu'ensemble, ils vont enfreindre des règles.
