Two young technicians, Filos and Kája, come to a small village that is a bit cut off from the rest of the world in order to find the best place to install a new station for the reception of a cell phone signal. Their arrival understandably arouses a feeling of expectation among the locals, especially when they learn of the interesting financial reward for the owner of the land on which the transmitter will stand. A fight flares up in the village over this reward, and all weapons, those permitted and those not, are put into use. Of course, there is also the question of whether Filos and Kája will be able to live up to the expectations that have been placed on them. Maybe they aren't even who they claim to be...

Démobilisé de la Légion étrangère après avoir guerroyé d'un conflit à l'autre, notamment en Afghanistan et en Irak, Martin retrouve en République tchèque sa ville natale, quittée vingt ans plus tôt. Sa sœur, mariée à un alcoolique veule et brutal, l'accueille sans chaleur pour lui apprendre que leur mère est morte. Peu après, il met en déroute trois malfrats qui s'acharnaient sur un jeune homme à terre. Reconnaissant, Sebastian Kadlec l'invite dans la villa luxueuse qu'il habite avec son père, un élu municipal affairiste, sa belle-mère et sa sœur aînée, Sara. Martin noue peu à peu avec cette dernière un lien amoureux. Entre-temps, il s'est installé chez sa sœur avec l'assentiment de son beau-frère, jaloux de lui, mais alléché par son argent…

This time the detectives deal with the case of a murdered professor. One day a cleaning woman finds him shot to death in his own study. The detectives will thus investigate whether the murder is connected with the victim's persistent effort for the removal of the University's quaestor because of the latter's strange machinations during the reconstruction of the University building. And they'll also want to know why the murderer took the great risk involved in killing the victim on the university soil. The search for the answer to the question who could wish the death of the peculiar but honest professor will take them farther than they have expected.
