Août 1980. Après le premier pèlerinage de Jean-Paul II en Pologne, les travailleurs commencent des grèves contre le régime. Le père Jerzy Popiełuszko arrive pour célébrer la messe des ouvriers. Le prêtre comprend les revendications des ouvriers, les aide et participe à la contestation de Solidarność. Mais la loi martiale est proclamée dans le pays. Varsovie est occupée par des chars et les grèves sont brutalement réprimées. Le père Jerzy devient témoin de la grande manifestation d’indépendance des travailleurs polonais, mais aussi de la répression dramatique exercée par la police. Dans ses homélies, il parvient à exprimer ce que les gens pensent mais ne peuvent pas dire. Ses paroles deviennent le guide d’une nation en révolte. Les fidèles qui viennent l’écouter sont de plus en plus nombreux tandis que la police politique tente de l’intimider…

A staging of William Shakespeare's tragedy, directed in 1969 by Andrzej Wajda. The roles of Macbeth and Lady Macbeth are played by Tadeusz Łomnicki and Magda Zawadzka - actors who at that time gained popularity in the series "Pan Wołodyjowski". Set in Poland in the 1970s, the main character half-heartedly goes about his job as a censor at the state run television station, whilst conducting affairs with nurses, airline pilots, etc. Interesting scene where main character must illegally emigrate to his own country.

Modest editor, has shipped his wife and kids for the weekend, and is trying to relax in his house at the outskirts of Warsaw. His quiet evening is only disturbed by the accidental forecast made by a Gypsy woman, that at evening time he will murder a mysterious brunet.

En route to London, Bear discovers at the border checkpoint that his passport is missing a few pages, which may prevent him from traveling to the city with the sports team he manages.

The main character has quit school, makes a living by taking pictures. He seduces a nurse who treated his head wound which he earned in a fight. They witness a hit-and-run driver killing a little girl on a sled. He builds up an elaborate trap by putting a doll dressed as a child down the hill in the path of a car. The man hits it and thinking that he hit a child - runs. Marek takes pictures of him and tries to blackmail him to use his car for a week. He wants to use the car to win back the nurse, who could not cope with his humors...

Alternatywy 4 was a Polish comedy TV series that was finished in 1983. Many famous Polish actors appeared in the series. The filming location used in Alternatywy 4 was a residential complex which is still in existence at 3 Grzegorzewska Street in Warsaw, Poland. The series was a satire to the communist rule in Poland, spoken in a way that it passed through communist censorship office.
