1879. Mille cinq cents hommes marchent dans le désert sous les ordres du Général Roca. Ils vont construire l'espace de la nation argentine. Ils avancent décidément vers le grand sud, là où il n'y a rien, en portant avec eux la civilisation. Un siècle plus tard, en 1980, dans la ville maintenant nommée General Roca, la junte militaire au pouvoir organise un congrès national d'histoire pour y célébrer le centenaire de la conquête du désert.

Journey to Mars (Viaje a Marte) is an animated stop motion short film. This independent production, which was made in Argentina, is the result of two years hard work. Since then, it has won 50 awards in different festivals around the world, competing in many cases against real action productions. The short tells the story of Antonio, a boy from the 60s, who is a great fan of science fiction tv serials and space trips. In view of the child's passion, his grandfather decides to take him to Mars in his tow truck.

Follow the adventures of Kiss of the Spider Woman scribe Manuel Puig portrayed by Fabio Aste, who left Argentina after being persecuted for his homosexuality and settled in exile in Rio de Janiero in this intimate drama from filmmaker Javier Torre. Though life in Rio was full of romance and adventure for Manuel, the controversy surrounding him grew ever more intense, until the only way out was a trip back to his native Argentina. In the years that followed, Puig eventually made the painful decision to move to Mexico, where he spent his final days until death caught up with him at the age of fifty-eight.
