Le 6 février 1998, le préfet de la Région Corse, Claude Erignac, est abattu en pleine rue d'Ajaccio. C'est un séisme. Jamais, depuis la Seconde Guerre mondiale, on n'avait frappé un si haut représentant de l'Etat. Un an d'enquête - et d'égarements - plus tard, s'ensuivent les arrestations du commando présumé et 96 heures de garde à vue au sein de l'antiterrorisme. Les aveux tombent, puis les rétractations arrivent. L'enquête se complique. Les rebondissements se multiplient. A crime d'exception, justice d'exception. D'importants moyens sont déployés pour découvrir la vérité sur cette affaire...

March 1943. In the middle of the Italian occupation of Corsica, two Communist resistance brothers strategically link up with two Italian trouffions in order to get the information necessary to organize the parachute drops on the Balagne. A real friendship is born between these men, the first steps of the reversal of the situation and of the alliance that followed the Allied landing in Ajaccio in September of the same year.
