Filmmaker Abdo is betrothed to Amal surrounded by three women: his mother, his younger sister Hasna, and the maid Zahra, and during the period of setting the date of Amal's marriage to Abdo, the latter meets a Canadian filmmaker, Diane, and they live together a romantic story. Meanwhile, the mother has a traffic accident and her son Abdo is forced to donate With his blood to save her, he discovers that he is infected with the AIDS virus.

Un reportage sur le groupe casaouis "Nass Al Ghiwane", qui puise son inspiration dans les racines de la culture marocaine et noire africaine. Le film alterne les extraits d’un concert joué devant un public en transes et les interventions des membres du groupe qui expliquent leur parcours, et comment ils ont rompu avec la mode de la musique orientale venue d’Egypte pour se replonger dans les sources autrement plus vivifiantes de la musique gnawa. Leur répertoire est puisé dans le creuset de la culture et la poésie marocaine, mais aussi dans des textes soufis. Martin Scorsese qui a permis la restauration de ce film, qualifiait le groupe de « Rolling Stones de l'Afrique ».
