A docudrama presenting the events which explain how and why Charles Spencer Chaplin made alterations to his original ending of the famous movie “Modern Times” following his encounter with the Soviet director Fridrikh Ermler.

Negina, a popular but poor actress, receives lessons from her fiancé Meluzov. Prince Dulebov, intending to take advantage of the girl's dire circumstances, suggests sponsorship, gets refused and becomes spiteful. Despite the latter's intrigues, Negina's benefice performance is triumphant and she receives a large sum of money, part of which Dulebov himself has to provide to keep his face. Still, the entrepreneur refuses to prolong her contract. One after another ecstatic admires come to her expressing their affection, among them Narokov, Naluzov and Velikatov. She leaves honest but dull Meluzov and goes away with rich Velikatov, motivated not by greed but by the desire to work on stage, the only thing she is really in love with.

Full of irony melodrama about a long history of love, which received an unexpected continuation after many years. About her hero, trying to guess his future and, to his own surprise, sometimes guessing it.

The story is about a pair of old romantic socks who dreamed of flying like birds. Socks were thrown out of the window when life became unbearable, and went wandering the streets. Fate scattered them to different parts of the Big City, and they turned into ragged, unnecessary rags. The socks sought refuge, and finally met in their native entrance.

Between the king and the soldier Ivan a serious dispute occurs. A seasoned soldier, of course, takes precedence over the quarrelsome sovereign. But until then happen in the Kingdom a lot of unusual and fun…

Due to the need to reduce staff, the head of the laboratory, not wanting to make a choice himself, entrusts this ”slippery” task to the entire team, and he goes on a business trip. Upon arrival, it turns out that not only has no one been fired, but they have also achieved an increase in staff.
